Our Mission

The Virginia Simmental Association is a nonprofit membership organization to promote and advance the Simmental breed and Sim genetics within Virginia. Virginia Simmental Association is administered by a volunteer board of directors from across the state. Simmental promotion is done at Virginia Beef Expo and Virginia Cattlemen's Association Field Day. An annual membership meeting is held to elect officers and directors, hear guest speakers, and discuss promotion of the Simmental breed within Virginia. Membership dues are $35/year. Membership dues support the advancement, education, and promotion of the Simmental breed and its crosses. We work closely with the American Simmental Association. If you raise or are interested in Simmental cattle and/or Simgentics, we would like to have you as a member.
